I decided to try again so I went to Turner Res./Central pond yesterday. I searched and searched but only had the usuals (seems like the ring-necked flock has grown quite a bit along with the swans numbers... I counted 52 swans at the bend with the cattails. So, I decided to head back to Warwick to see if the tufted might have gone back to the cove. Again no luck. The hybrid was still there with its mate. I was also treated to the HUGE evening gull roost on the docks and a mixed-flock feeding frenzy of wigeon, scaup, brant, bufflehead, and swans. It was really weird to see them all together in a tight group like that feeding like crazy. I do really love that cove. Maybe a tufted will show up at the waushacums again someday! Thanks for the info and photos. It makes me want to start a blog.

KevinAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6598082801644870937.post-63635357879804076182009-02-19T19:39:00.000-05:002009-02-19T19:39:00.000-05:00Andy, glad you're finding the directions helpful. ...Andy, glad you're finding the directions helpful.
